I am trying to trace my daughter's ( Harnik ) family name through her father, Philip George Harnik...son of Adolph Edward and Pauline Head Harnik. They lived in Hot Springs, Ark. Eddied is now deceased. Philip is my former husband and would like to add HIS family to our daughter's, and our grandchildren's family tree with MY side of family.
Adolph had two brothers...Max and Sol ( don't know full names or either of their parents names). Was told they came to NewYork from Austria in early 1900's. The 3 boys father left them and their mother there. Eddie ( Adolph Edward) quit school at 8 years to go to work. Later moved to Arkansas. Max lived in NY and Sol moved to Miami, Fla. If have info E-mail me at TennesseeSilver@aol.com, Please...thanks in advance. P.
yes i do believe there is a connection between the harneck's and harnick's too much of a close call not to be. I was introduce to Leon Warner by my ex and we were talking and my ex asked him what his mother's name was and he said Julie? Harnick and i about fell off the couch where i was sitting. Anyway he said his mom's side of the family came from Germany the same as mine. Any way i will try to find my papers and send you all the information i have on the Warners and this side of the Harnicks have a reunion every year near Midland Michigan the 2nd or 3rd Sunday of July.

Hi, I've been researching these names for a few years, and this is the first time that I have found someone else that is doing the same.
My great-grandfather was Charles Carl Harnach, b- 27 November 1843,
married,
Augusta Mai (May) b- 08 May 1846, about 1863, they came to Canada in 1876.
He served with Austria in the war of 1866, and with France during the war of 1870-71.
They were born in Germany. They had ten children.
I have no other information on them. Also I have some Von Harnach's.

Just to let everyone know that I have been out of circulation for a while but Im back. My brother Alan passed away in May of 2000 and my mother passed away Jan of 2002 so I have been pretty busy trying to get things back on track. Plus I have recently remarried to Jerald M Crockett. Im still searching the Harneck's. The spelling of the harneck's when they were in Canada is Harnack's.
