Searching for the lineage of Ruth's parents.

Found 1900 census and her death references at www.pilot.familysearch.org (she listed as Ruthie Chatman Harrell and Ruth Chapman Summers Harrell).

Ruth b. abt 1848 d. 07Feb1930, Grove Hill, Clarke Co, Alabama. States she was b. AL, father W E Summers b. SC, and mother Ruth Chapman b. AL.

In 1900 census Precincts 7, 9 McLeods, Good Springs, Clarke Co, Alabama

Suspect Ruth is related to Caley Gant Summers, SR 1806-1850 m. Darcus Coleman Waite family. Caley's parents were Jesse Summers 1775-1837 m. Sarah Coate. Jesse's parents Rev. Joseph Summers 1730-1809 m. Eleanor Clary 1738-1809.
