My ggrandfather had a sister that was married to a Creamer. Her name was Lillie Belle Harrell from Wabash Co Indiana. All I know of Lillie was in a letter from her to Jessie Alice who was married to Lillie's brother William Drake.(these two were my ggrandparents.) This seems too close not to be related somehow. Any information would be greatly appreciated. TIA!

Jacob Harrell from Decatur Co., Indiana (Settled in Wabash Co., Indiana) is my GGGrandfather. I have been trying to prove his father was James Harrell for some time now. I was thrown off by a relatives claim that his father was actually named Gabriel. So far I can't prove or disprove either as being such. Any help at all would be very appreciated. Leo P. Haneline, Jr.

Connie,

Thank you, Yes we have the same gggrandparents. In looking thru my papers,( I have been working on my otherside)I find James Harrell and wife Sarah, having Jacob, Jesse and Sarah. What branch are you with?
Do you have information about James parents? I do know, James was buried in a field near Urbana, but I do not know, what happened to Sarah.
I have alot of information on Jacob and his side of the family.

Hope to hear from you.
Sally

Leo,

I remember you from years ago. When you was a small child, you lived east of Huntington and my mother and I would stop and visit with your grandparents. Small world.

Yes, James Harrell and wife Sarah are the parents of Jacob, Jesse and Sarah. I know that Gabriel Harrell married a Rachel Toombs on Jan 20, 1825 and lived near Jacob.
Phillip Harrell bought land in Decatur County, Ind. on Nov 7, 1827 and I am wondering, if he is the father of James.
Maybe you have this information.

Sally

I am trying to find the parents of this Jacob Harrell and any relationship he may have with a Moses Harrell of Wabash Co. who married Francis Scott. I am aware of Moses Harrell b.1802 who also lived, for a while, in Wabash Co., IN before moving to Huntington Co., IN where he died. I don't know if there is a relationship between any of these Harrells. Please help me by sending any info you have on the parents/siblings of this Jacob Harrell, and any info on possible relationships with the 2 Moses Harrells.

The DNA profile of my Harrell line matches the DNA profile of Richard Harrell b. abt 1700 (6 sons including Moses Sr. whose grandchild is Moses 1802). I don't know the link between my Harrell line and Richard Harrell 1700.
