Details: 1804, Dolphin B. Harris sued William Bell in Court of Orleans (New Orleans). 1816, Dolphin B. Harris married Rebecca Denham in St. Helena Parish, La. (If you look this up in an index, he's listed as Dolphus B., but I have seen and made a copy of the original. It's Dolphin.) 1819, Cosby lists settlers West of Pearl River and East of Mississippi River in Louisiana, and shows Daufin B. Harris in St. Helena Parish, having purchased his land in 1810. 1850, Moses Harris in East Baton Rouge Parish has a son, Dolphin. In 1867, Edmund Cooper stated in court that he had purchased his land more than ten years before from the heirs of Dauphin B. Harris. Is there a Dolphin/Dauphin in anyone's genealogy on here?
