Started genealogy search recently. Didn't take long for me to get stuck on my father's side. Can anyone help?

My father: James Franklin Harris - b. Ohio - Nov. 23, 1932.

His father: Edwin John Harris - b. Aug 31 1889(?) - Ohio.

His father: Benjamin Franklin Harris - b. Dec 09 1865 - Indiana. Died: Aug 24 1957 - San Francisco.
Benjamin married Rose DeFosse in 1888 and Catherine ? in 1902(?). Two children with Rose: Edwin John in 1889 and Norma D. in 1892. Then with Catherine, Benjamin Franklin Jr. in 1915 (1913?) in Ohio.

Benjamin's father: I get stuck here.... Some earlier family research suggests a "Robert" Harris or a "John Jacob" Harris. I come up cold on both of these.

Hopefully someone dovetails into my line? Or has other info?
