Surnames: Harrod, Harwood, Lane
Does anyone have proof of the parents of Rachel Harrod, who married John Corbin Lane ca. 1800? I know she was born in 1782 and died in 1875 in Fairfield County, OH. I believe she was born in PA or MD, possibly the Tenmile settlement in SW PA or Bedford, PA. Many researchers claim Hampshire County, VA. What is the source for Hampshire County?
I suspect that Harrod name was "Harwood" prior to 1750.
