I would like to hear from any person who is interested in
the history of Mathias Harter, who married Sally M H
Harter in 1855. Mathias was in Co. C of the 9th Iowa
Infantry during the American Civil War. His overall
family history goes back to Germany. The family moved to
Pennsylvania most likely in the 1700s. He was either born
in Pennsylvania or in Ohio in 1825, and died in Ohio in 1906.
I would be pleased to hear from interested parties.
