Hi, thanks for your response, my James Hartsfield was the son of Samuel R. Hartsfield born 29 Aug 1806, He was married to Harriet W. Witcher. Their son James was born 2 Aug 1842 the 4th child of 10 or 11 children. He was born in Georgia. He would have been a brother to my great grandmother Elizabeth Ann Hartsfield Dunloppe the Holder. She married David Lorance Holder after Her husband Jesse Dunloppe died. Are any of those name familiar to you. Other Children names are Polly P. P, Emily M., John, Martha Ann C., Nancy Everleene, Harriet, Julia T., and Samuel Witcher Hartsfield. Harriet Witcher was born 26 Jun 1813. Samuel died 21 Dec 1886. Harriet died 6 May 1865.
