flea market in Florida.
Page #3 "A Welcome" (Saturday, Aug 12th 1899)
A welcome to the Hartshorns, altho you may not bear that name you are turly their descendents and our greeting is the same.
We'll now go back to New Hampshire, with its many dales and hills, with softly comming of the doves
And its many gurgling ?
It our thoughts fo back to Lebanon, In old New Hampshire state. Where a tiny boy with soft grey eyes looked Fondly at each mate.

When he was three another babe first opend her black eyes looking sround with wonder, gazed on the earth and shies.
It was in the town of Marlow That Betsy Bingham was born
Soon she moved to Derby Vermont, roaming hill at ?
On the sandy beach of Magog Lake a couple often walked
Young Eldredge and fair Betsy.
On Sept 5th 1808 Betsy became a bride, Eldredge Hartshorn was the groom, standing boldly by her side.
It was in the town of Stanstead, Canada, that knot was securely tied, by Squire Killbornes skillful hand. Only death could them divide.

Misfourtune came, their house was burned. She taught a district school. Soon they started again keeping house. The hardships was the rule.
Nine children to their care was given. Two are with us here today. Seven have crossed the ebbing tide, safe from the thorny way.
Today we meet descendents. From these ancesstral trees, and note the loving glances, from branches flowers and leaves.
Just 70 years ago today Theresa Hartshorn first-saw light in York state (New York?) town of Freedom, When August days were bright.

42 years has passed and in a pleasant town quite near on the 12th day of August Will Taylor did appear.
And Jennie Dunn is 37 she was born in town of Troy. She has an only daughter to fill her home with joy
Horace Hartshorn comes to join our family. A welcome we do give. His age today is twentytwo. May each one long years live.

The babies present were Frank S. Van Lueven from July 20th 1898. Forest W. Stucky from Sept 3rd 1898. George W. Harthsorn from March 26th 1899 and Vera M. Dayton, May 26th 1899. The birthday cake was cut and served with ice cream.
