my mother was a hartsoe. she lived in cardwell missouri. her father was otho. my mother has a book that was written by C.W. Starnes M.D. called the Hartsoe Family of Green County Ar. it is recorded in the library of congress catalog# 86-70876. even has my name in it and it goes as far back as when they came to the united states i think from germany. hope this helps.
