Hopefully I can help. I just started my genealogy search and it seems we are looking for the same people. My great great grandfather was Sigmund Hartson, he married Alide Freche. He came to the US from Hamburg, Germany when he was about 20 yrs old. He died July 19,1871 when he was 29 yrs old. They had 2 children Edgar James Hartson who died when he was 6 months old 1869. They also had Maurice J. Hartson (my great grandfather) he was born Jan 2, 1871. If I can help any more please let me know.
