James William Hartsock

His mother was full blood indian and died when he was eight. He lived with relatives until he moved to california. Mother's name was Cordia Hartsock - I believe she was either Cheyenne or Cherokee Indian. I do not know his father's name.
I would really be interested in pursuing my heritage on this side of the family as my mother and father (James William) divorced when I was three years old. James William died in 1982 in Fort Smith AR. Mother Vondah Louise Hartsock (maiden name Chenoweth) died in 1996. James William had a brother named Lucian Hartsock married to Jean Hartsock. Lucian and Jean both deceased now. Thanks for anything you can provide to help me.
