Looking for information on the ancestors of Palmer Hartsough (1844-1932), a Baptist minister and noted writer of hymns, who was from Plymouth, Michigan. The town of Plymouth has a street name Hartsough and another one block away named Palmer. I have his obituary and it states that he is survived by his sister, Ursula, but doesn't name his parents. I have that they were Wells and Thankful B. (Palmer) Hartsough from family records, which also state that his grandfather and great grandfather were named Hugh. The family originally came from Ontario County, New York, and I would appreciate any information you may have, especially concerning there relationship to Zachariah Hartsough/Hartsock/Hertzog (born ca 1700) or any other of the same name.I will be glad to share what information I have.
