OLD HARTSOUGH CABINET CARD PHOTO FOUND

I have purchased/rescued an old cabinet card photo of a middle age man who is identified on the back of the card as Rev. W. D. Hartsough of Goodell, IA. The photographer, which is imprinted on the front of the card is “Coyle of Cedar Rapids, IA“. I am not sure I have spelled the surname of this person correctly. It is definitely “Harts” for the first part of the surname, but I cannot be sure about the rest of the spelling. (any info on this would be helpful!) I try to rescue old cabinet card photos and return them to family, or another safe haven. I just try to save them from being lost forever. So, if the Reverend is your family, or you may be interested in this photo, please contact me at: jmje36@aol.com. I am not on the mail lists pertaining to this gentleman. Thank you, Judy in TX
Looking for information on the ancestors of Palmer Hartsough (1844-1932), a Baptist minister and noted writer of hymns, who was from Plymouth, Michigan. The town of Plymouth has a street name Hartsough and another one block away named Palmer. I have his obituary and it states that he is survived by his sister, Ursula, but doesn't name his parents. I have that they were Wells and Thankful B. (Palmer) Hartsough from family records, which also state that his grandfather and great grandfather were named Hugh. The family originally came from Ontario County, New York, and I would appreciate any information you may have, especially concerning there relationship to Zachariah Hartsough/Hartsock/Hertzog (born ca 1700) or any other of the same name.I will be glad to share what information I have.

Lee Hartsock is my grandfather. He was born on Nov. 14, 1909. All I know is that my grandfather lived on a indian reservation and when he was a small kid his mother died of polio and not to long after his father died (I think his name was Dave). The kids were split up and he never saw his brothers or sisters again. Does anyone have the same story:
