I was recently at the Ontario Archives and I found the marriage record of George Washington Hartwick and Martha Young.
They were married Sept 7,1882 in Lindsay,Victoria County,Ontario,Canada.
The marriage record gives the following information about Martha Young.
Martha Young age 18 born East Gwillimbury twp; residence Lindsay,Ontario.
She was the daughter of John and Charlotte Young. Not maiden name for Charlotte was given in the record.

The witnesses to the marriage were John and Elizabeth Jane
Oliver of Lindsay, Ontario. I suspect that the Olivers were related to George Washington Hartwick through his grandmother Mary Kelly Hartwick.

I also tried to find the Young family in the 1881 census of Canada. I have the CD produced by the LDS. I was not able to find Martha Young with her family. This is odd but there are a lot of errors in transcribing the 1881 census. The Hartwick were transcribed under some very odd spellings.

Do you know the dates of birth for Martha Young`s siblings ?
I might be able to locate them in the 1881 census.
