Katherine, I have spent the last year researching all the Hartwicks in Michigan, trying to connect a number of Hartwicks line that went from New York to Ontario to Michigan.
I have to find one branch of our family that went to Alberta, Canada...the family of Ulysses Grant Hartwick.....these children were John, Frederick, and Newton, born in 1894, 96 and 98, all in Alberta. There may have been other children.
Ulysses was a child of Charles and Rosetta Hartwick who settled in Sanilac County, Michigan. If this looks like there is a connection, I have this family back 4 or 5 generations. Lt me know.
If not, I would like to know more about YOUR Hartwick family, that I may add it to my Michigan Hartwick database and perhaps make a connection at a later time.
