Many thanks for your message. I had already picked up the Harty-Davis connection from Debrett's Peerage.
My Great Grandfather (note correction) Robert Henry Douglas Davis came on the picture later.He married a Flood, and two of the Harty daughters married two Dr Floods in successive generations. I really would like to find out more about the Floods, but it sounds a bit out of your orbit
