Surnames: Restemayer, Schroeder, Dobbins, Pitcher, Steiger
On my father's side (the Hartzes) they are from Canada and North Dakota with further roots going back to the Ukraine, Russia and Vienna, Austria.
My mother was a Knowles and they came from the East Coast around PA (her father's side) and Norway (her mom's side). I have a family tree done by a distant cousin, but it doesn't have much info about my particular set of branches. My father, Ernest James Hartz, evidently quarreled many years ago with some family members and they didn't have much to do with each other after that. He talked very little about the family back in North Dakota so I have almost no information about them.
