I would very much like to see the information you have pertaining to Duncan Cattnach and Mary Harvey. I never really thought I would come across someone that would know who these people were. Cassie Cattnach is my wife's gr gr grandmother. She was born Apr 10, 1859 in Canada. She died April 18, 1942 in Omaha, Nebraska. She married James Withrow who was born Oct 28, 1850 in Paris, Wisconsin. He died Jan 21, 1910 in Omaha, Nebraska. Cassie and James were living in Plymouth Co., Iowa in 1880. Their children at that time were harry and Jessie both born in Iowa. Besides knowing that Duncan was born somewhere in Scotland and Cassie's mother with the last name of Harvey was born somewhere in Ireland. From the 1880 census, we do know that she had a 14 year old brother named Alex. This is all that we have on this segment of my wife's family. Anything added to this would be greatly appreciated. We do know that James Withrow and Cassie Cattnach eventually had 7 kids. One of them, Jessie Withrow, b. May 29, 1879 in Iowa. d. Aug 16, 1961 in Long Beach, Calif. married Charles H. Gates on Sept 25, 1899. This is the line that continues on to my wife. The other children of James and Cassie are:

William Withrow, b. in Omaha, Nebraska.
Walter Withrow, b. in Omaha, Nebraska.
Florence Withrow, b. in Omaha, Nebraska.
Lillian Withrow, b. in Omaha, nebraska.
Ethel Withrow, b. in Omaha, nebraska.

I do know a fair amount on the Withrows and the Gates. Eventually, one of Jessie Withrow and Charles Gates children, Frederick(Floyd) Roy Gates married an Agnes Egermier of Czechoslovakia. One of their children, Marguirite Agnes Ruth Gates became the mother of my wife, Deana Ann Hill. I can give you more detailed info if desired, I'm just showing the continuing lineage. GeoZay@aol.com
