I cannot find Gideon in the New Gloucester Vital Records. You may want to check this website - http://www.haskellfamilyhistory.com/database3/11/18708.html, which indicates a Gideon that was baptised in New Gloucester 15 Jul 1776, with parents Gideon and Mary (Hart) Haskell. Hope this helps.

re - William H. Haskell=Ida Belle Boyer in Madison Co., IN.
William H. Haskell , I believe, was born in Indiana, USA not Kansas although he lived in Kansas; he was the son of Jessee T. Haskell and Martha E. Scott/Gilmore - refer various Kansas and US census entries. Jessee was the son of Job & grandson of Hunnewell Haskell.
Martha had been married once before to John H. Gilmore and had 3 children Castella or Estella, Thomas & John who appreared to adopt the Haskell surname.

I am trying to find out more about Harriet who married Henry Board at Cullompton, Devon 31 Aug 1817 and married for a second time to James Tucker 11 Jul 1836 at St Edmunds, Exeter, Devon. The 1841 Census shows her at Lyme Regis, Dorset born in Dorset and the 1851 census shows she was born at what looks like Lutton or Litton in Dorset. Its hard to read the location. I would be grateful for any help you can give.

May 28, 1857 [Boston: 1857, Vol. 110, p. 48]. She was 18 years of age, a resident of Boston at time of marriage, was born at Newburyport and her father was Issac Haskell.
I am looking for info on Issac Haskell and on Elizabeth's birth (1838/1839?).

Who were Hannah, b ca 1812, wife of John Haskell, listed in 1850 census Passadumkeag, with children William, 10; Samuel, 9; Mary, 7; Jabez, 3.

In 1860 census of Warren, he is listed with Sarah, b ca 1815; Mary, 17; Babez, 13; Rebecca, 6; Ella, 4; Clarra (sic) I, 1/12.

In 1880, Sarah is listed as the Head of Household, with daughter Rebecca and son-in-law Judson Watts.

From the 1860 Census, I believe that eunice is actually Ennis or Ennice, a male child aged 7.

Harry Haskell is the son of Jonas Minard Haskell 1802-1883

Rescued Photos, HASKELL, STANLEY, WARD Surnames

As a hobby, I rescued old photos that have identification on them and attempt to locate family to send them to.

From an eBay auction out of Maine, I obtained five photos that cover a family with the surnames, STANLEY, HASKELL and WARD.

One is of a German or European style soldier, that has a hat with the feathers gracing the top of it. That one is identified as Brayton Pierce Stanley, father of Ruth B. Haskell Ward.

There are two identified as Dwight B. Stanley, Ruth Haskell's brother.

The last two are of a little girl, Ruth B. Haskell Ward, and Ruth B. Stanley Haskell Ward. She's about 5-6 years old.

Some of these are in rougher shape than others, but for the most part, the images of the people are not effected much by whatever treatment they've experienced.

I am a Maidment descendent from Jane Maidment.
Four sisters came to Australia including Jane and Thirza.
Their mother was Mary Steel/Still and father John Maidment.
We haven't found this marraige yet but there is another family with Mary Wilmot and John Maidment. There were 8 Maidment families in Donhead St Mary which have recently been re-shuffled with latest info.
Try "Curious Fox" for Donhead St Mary and get in touch with the ladies who run the Foot/Gurd website for the address and you can see all the info. Also some parish records for Donhead St Mary are on www.roughwood.net/
Where do you fit in and are you in Australia also ?

I'm searching for information on the family of Israel and Judith (Wellcome) Haskell.

Israel was bp on 10 Jan 1761 in Newbury, MA as the son of Israel and Abigail (Davis) Haskell. Judith was bp 2 Aug 1772 in Gloucester, MA as the daughter of Micael and Judith (Ball) Wellcome. Israel and Judith (Wellcome) Haskell were married on 1 Mar 1792 in New Gloucester, Cumberland, ME.

Any help would be much appreciated.

I find no other birth or death records listed in the New Gloucester Vital Records. I have spent quite a lot of time in the Lower Cemetery in New Gloucester and do not recall finding any monuments for Israel or Judith. I will take another look when I am over there the next time.

I see you have Haskell ancestors. My great-great grandmother was Dianna Haskell born 1831 in Ludwell, Wiltshire. I have found her father, George Haskell was born c1806 in Wiltshire, but nothing further back. Do you have him in your records? Would appreciate any help you can give.

I'm looking for any info on my Great Grandfather, Gerald Haskell born in NY on 31Jan1891 and died in Syracuse, NY in April of 1966. He married an Alice Elizabeth Flynn whose parents were Daniel Flynn and Rosa Elizabeth Eaton. All I have for his Parents is that his father was born in NY and his mother was born in S. Carolina. I am descended from John Haskell b1799 who is the brother of James Haskell b1798.James was married to Elizabeth(Sodey) Harrison b1810.I have that Alice Deveridge was the first wife of John Haskell b1845. I do not have a daughter Eda for them but I have an Edith b1873 who married Unknown Gasgoyne(1) and John Hopper b1872(2).Their had a son William Hopper who married Irene Gascoyne.

Looking for info on Emily Haskell. She married ALbert Riley/ Their daughter Alzina Riley married John Hart. They had a daughter Mary A Hart--she married Daniel Eliger Huntley. Their son Haskell John Huntley married Violet Irene Middleton--their daughter Anna Mae Huntley married James Harold Waddell. They had 13 children--I'am one of them. Benjamin Haskell 1776-1849 was the son of Benjamin Haskell Sr. b 8 March 1741/42 in Norwich, New London, Connecticut who died before 1790 possibly 17 Feb 1778. Benjamin Sr. was married to Sarah, surname unknown.
Roger Haskell 1697-1759 is the grandfather of Benjamin Jr. as you suggested.

As the recently appointed Historian for the International Haskell Family Society, I am taking this opprtunity to offer assistance where possible.

You may have already discovered that John Haskell, born Maiden Bradley was baptised there on 30 March 1800 and was the son of John Haskell and Sarah Sainsbury but that is as far back as we can link certainly at present.

John and his wife spent time in Wales and then emigrated to Australia.

The IHFS has a website and a database available exclusively to members and I know you would find a treasure trove there of John's relations.

I am looking for any information on my GGG grandparents William H. and Susan E. Haskell that lived in Winchester, Jefferson County, Kansas. William was born in 1836 in Tennessee and Susan was born in 1938 in Bedford, IN. They had the following Children: William T. (Bill), Alfred Alonzo (Lon), Rosie and Leota. Rosie married Charles Vroom and Leota married Zed T. Seal.

Alfred Alonzo (Lon)married Moetta Lollar (my gg grandparents) and moved to Beaver OK.
