Im wondering if my Carl Hass is the son of Carl Wilhelm Hass. He was born in 12-31-1815. He married Frederike Lemke. Your Carl is the right age to be the father of my Carl, since Carl Sr had a Carl Jr. Are you confused? I am. I hope you are able to match this up. Ellary

(My mother is PENNY RUTH) My research tells me that his parents were James Nubom Hass and Ressie Stanley (I have copies of their death certificates I would like to share!) Is this correct, and if so, what can you tell me about them as well...and maybe even their parents? I want to trace this part of my bloodline as far back as possible-not just for research purpose but because I would like to get to know my family and where I come from! I would love so much to know about my grandfather, Billie, and his family, Aable Trucking...ANY and EVERYTHING...good and bad! I know it is a stormy past, but none-the-less, I want to know and hopefully even build a relationship with you, exchange pictures and show you members of our end of this tree! I want very much to make connections with my family and learn some things about ya'll.

HASS family - William and Grace Ann Hass migrated to Oregon from South Carolina

Hello,
Wanted to check and see if anyone was aware or might have known of WILLIAM HASS who was married to GRACE ANN. They had children born in Tennessee, South Carolina and Oregon respectively: William (Jr.), James, Marvin, Karen and one named Ann in Reno, NV, I believe. William Hass, the senior left the family very early in their kids' years ~ Not much is known about him. Many Hass' live in Cottage Grove, Eugene and Springfield, OR - what's left of them. Some in California. Does anyone know of this clan ~ and where they really came from?? Such a mystery it seems.

HENRY HASS/HAUS/HAUSE LINCOLN CO. N.C. CATHERINE RINCK

I am in desperate need of help, there were Two Henry Hass/Haus , both married a Catherine, one Catherine Plonk and the other Catherine Rinck in Lincoln Co. N.C. my Henry probably died around 1840 or so. He is not in the 1850 census but the widow with a son John is there. He was probably born about 1790-1795 time frame I would think. I found a land deed stating that Catherine Rinck's sister Caty, which was probably also named Catherine , the land that her father Frantz Rinck had given her went to her sister Catherine Rinck Hauss/Hass/Hause and Henry Hause. Catherine and Henry was selling this land. If you have any idea who their children was, who his father was. It could have been Jacob Haus and wife Mary Polly Hudson. Any information on this line so I can either find out if this Henry was their son or not would be appreciated. This has been a very confusing mess to sort. So in Desperate Need of Help on this one.
Thanks so much.
m.harbinson@worldnet.att.net
Hello, Thanks for offering to look for information at the Long Creek Cemetery. My G. G. Grandfather, Ephraim Alexander, b. abt. 1811 in N. C., probably in Washington County, died on 25 January 1896 while visiting his Daughter, Margaret Jane (Alexander) Ragsdale in the Long Creek settlement and maybe, while visiting his son, John A. Alexander's family around the Titus, TX area. I have a cousin who has found and photographed the gravestone for Margaret Jane in that Cemetery; however, he has not been able to find any gravestone for Ephraim Alexander. Have you seen the Ephraim Alexander gravestone that would have shown a birth date of abt. 1811 in N. C. and a death date of 25 January 1896? Could you please notify me if you see his grave while visiting the Cemetery. He might also be buried in another local Cemetery around Mesquite. Last week, I found a local newspaper article here in "The Democrat," dated 13 February 1896, on his death in the Long Creek Settlement around Mesquite (in Microfilm records at the Guntersville, AL Public Library). That article sent his death information back to Marshall County, AL for friends and relatives -- where he spent most of his life. It stated, quote: "Died in Texas: "The following is from the Mesquite (Texas) Herald, mailed to us by Rev. R. L. Phelps, who also formerly lived in Marshall County, AL. Mr. Alexander was Clack Ragsdale's father-in-law. Ephraim Alexander, an old gentleman who came here from Union Grove, AL, a few months ago, died at the residence of Mr. Ragsdale, in the Long Creek settlement on Saturday 25th. His remains were interred in the cemetery at this place at 10 o'clock Monday morning, Rev. R. L. Phelps conducting the furneral service."

After this morning, I cannot use my computer until this coming Friday. I will check my e-mails then.

Have a good day. May God Bless and Keep You and Your Family!

Doris Cooley Edmonds
345 Warrenton Shores Drive
Guntersville, AL 35976-6132
Phone: 256-582-2530
E-Mail Address: edmonds345@charter.net
