My 4 great Uncle, William G Hastie and his wife Elizabeth Purves left Berwickshire Scotland mid 1800's and settled in Warren County Iowa. Many of his cousins also went there, I have much info on them but I have been unable to trace any living relatives from Williams line. Would like more info if possible.
I believe the G would stand for Grieve his mother and my 4 great grandmother's maiden name. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
