Job Hastings,b. abt 1750, lived in Lancaster PA area

I have a clue that Job Hastings is the father of Henrich Hastings, who married Elisabeth, they had a child Simeon, August 24, 1797, recorded in Trinity Luthern Church birth records.
Assuming that Henrich was 25 years old in 1797, would give him a dob around 1772, and if Job Hastings is his father, we are looking for a person born abt 1750 +/-.
I am looking for any references to Job Hastings, born around 1750. Need parents names, siblings, marriage info: wife's name and dob, children's names and dob, and any other information.
Hi:
Thanks for your reply. I'd like ANYthing you may have on Henrich and Elisabeth, and their Antecedents. I have just got a tip recently that they may be my "missing link". I've been looking for that link for nearly 15 years. My GGGrandfather is Simeon Hastings, reportedly born in PA, orphaned, and brought to VA (later WV) by Simon Guthery. I haven't found a possible name for his parents until now.

A researcher passed a message to me recently that she found a birth record from Trinity Lutheran Church of Lancaster, PA from August 24, 1797 of Simeon Hastings, born to Henrich and Elisabeth Hastings. This is an exciting tidbit, but I need a little more information on this couple before I can feel some conviction this is the Simeon Hastings I'm looking for.

If someone can do a lookup for me of this record and scan the page and send it to me I would be very grateful.

In addition if anyone can come up with anything on the above-mentioned Henrich and Elisabeth Hastings I would appreciate that also.

Best wishes,
Carl Hastings
I'm also looking for additional information. Currently searching immigration records, since the time frame suggests it. Some information suggests that Simeon's father was Job Hastings, quite unsure of that. Will let you know if I dig up anything.
Sorry I don't think I can help. My line stops with my son, and although we lived in Wisconsin and Texas for a little while we are back where we belong in Scotland. I note however that there are a couple of Mary Ellen Hastings born around the right time (1890) in New Hampshire, Pennsylvania and Kansas. With the movement of people around the states at that time, They may be worth a look.

I trace my ancestry easil back into the 1600's in Nairn, Nairnshire, Scotland. It's simple for me, as I am the first of my line to be born outside the villiage. All my male ancestors were fishermen (Trawlers)and sailed the Artic, North Sea and Atlantic coasts of Scotland. It is possible that one or two may have gone to Ireland, or Canada, but I have no evidence of it. Our family name through many generations is Main-Hastings. Predominant Christian names are Robert, James, (I have both)and William.

I am seeking information on Charles ROACH and Annie HASTINGS from Daviess County Indiana. Charles was born 16 Jan 1863 in Indiana. He married Annie Hastings (known in the ROACH family as Glennie May) on 12 Dec 1886. Both Charles and Annie passed away in 1899, leaving young children behind.

I am seeking proof of dates of death for both of these family members. If you have any information on Charles Roach or Annie Hastings, please share. I have sent a letter to the Daviess County Genealogical Society to request some lookups and plan on visiting there myself later this summer. Was hoping someone might be able to help fill holes before then.

Thanks in advance!

Dawn

SUSAN ELIZABETH HASTINGS and SAMUEL ROSS NELSON

I am searching for the children of Susan Elizabeth (Bettie)Hastings (1870-1905) and Samuel Ross Nelson (b.1871) of Bedford Co., TN. They had 5 or 6 children: Walter Frank (b. 1897), Cornelia F. (b. 1898), Eula May (b. 1899), Katie Ross (b. 1901), James (b. 1900-05), and possibly Samuel R. (b. c1905). After their mother's death, the children were raised by their mother's relatives including her father James Robert Hastings and her siblings John William (Willie), Walter Darlington, and Margaret Fite (Fite, Maggie Fite)(m. Cyrus Randolph Nelson). One child - Katie - was formally adopted by Walter D. Hastings and her name changed to Katherine Elizabeth Hastings. She later married John Leoma Sadler. Some of the other children may also have had name changes.
Following his first wife's death, Samuel Nelson married a widow, Emma Sue Lewis and raised a second family in northern Alabama. The couple had at least 4 children: Carry (b. c1911), William (b. c1912), Bessie Irene (b. 1915), and Jack (b. 1914).
I would love to hear from anyone who has further information about this family.

Aaron Hastings was a witness to the will of John Harper, and Robert Hastings was a witness to the marriage of one of John and Anne's daughters. There was also a John Hastings in Saint John who I think may also have been connected to this family. Again, all just suspicions.

I am looking for information on the Hastings family who lived in Portland, Multnomah, Oregon from about 1900 to 2005.

The family was originally from England, where Frederick Hastings married Jane Elizabeth Taylor in 1871. Frederick and Jane Elizabeth Hastings emigrated to Christchurch, New Zealand, in about 1876 and had four children there. These were: Arthur Edwin Hastings, born in 1878; Elizabeth Ada Hastings, born in 1880; Laura Catherine Hastings, born in 1883; and Frederick John Hastings, born in 1886.

In about 1888 or 1889 the whole family emigrated from New Zealand to the United States, and went to live in Portland, Oregon.

Arthur Edwin Hastings married Winthrop Royal Mills in 1908. They had two sons: Ross Hastings, born about 1911, who married Helen Hastings, but had no known children; and Arthur Edward Hastings, born in 1913 and died in 1991, who married Gloria Hastings (1913-2005) and had one known daughter named Barbara Hastings.

If anyone has information on this family I'd very interested to hear from them.

dco56

We have found that Edward Hastings middle name is Charles.
Edward Charles Hastings. He was born in Bombay India and it is believed that his father was a Doctor in the army stationed in India. Edward is my grandfather and any information would be appreciated. I have a photo of his gravestone showing he was married to Edith Marion Eaton.

Thank you
