John Hatchett came from England as a boy about 1660. He married Elizabeth Bass in 1690. He had 4 boys (William, Thomas, John, and Edward) there were also 3 daughters (who married Belcher, Pender or Perdau, and Mann). Edward lived and died in Lunenburg County near the Double Bridges. He had five boys (Archer, Thomas, Edward, William and Robert) and two daughters (one of whom married a Chaffin. Edward the third son was living in Pittsylvania County in 1842, age 86.------Have more info but would like someone to embellish on these records.
