Hi Larry,

I must say that I was BLOWN AWAY at how much information you had: marriage date and place for Louis and Caroline, cemetery, even her knickname, but, also, all of the data on the four children!! I was just amazed!!

I am not related, in any way, to these families but, am helping my sweet friend who is related. Ha! The more deeply I get into the research, the more the families and research means to me.

How many YEARS have you been researching these families? It must have been a long time because you have so much information!

If you happen to run across information on the families of Goodheart Hutter and Ida Mae Crandall,I would appreciate hearing about them,also.

I cannot tell you how much I appreciate all of the information you have given to me.

I have a George Washington Hatter/Harter but it doesn't seem to be the same one you are talking about. My George was b. approx 1855 and married Amelia B Kessler in 1878. They had 5 children and I descend through Charles Irvin Harter b. 1886.

I also wanted to ask you, if you know of any eye disease in the hatter family? my father, and brother and I were born with a rare eye disease, it is genetic but very uncommon. And do you know the hatters basic heritage, irish? I hope i am not to inquisitive, if so i do apologize.

The above are all son of the next line down.
I can't find anything after John Matthews if anyone has more let me know. After John Matthews the Coleman line seems to go back to the New line who came here from Bristol between 1620 and when he died in Virginia in 1681

I my grandfather was Melvin Hatter who was son of George Riffe 'Fox" son of James Lawrence who was the son of the William who married three times one of them being Nancy Geneeni. He was the son of Richard Nicholas (Nick Dick) who with his brother Samuel who ran the Indian Gauntlet came to Casey County after the war of 1812. He was, I believe the son John Matthews Hatter. The line from when they came to Casey County is written up in the Men, Women, Events Institutions & Lore of Casey County Kentucky. I found census records records at the National Archives which give the children of some of the above. If you have any information I would like to know it also.,

Born Jan. 16, 1894, in Hartshorne, Indian Territory, to John Alexander and Julia Ann Francis York Hatter,
he died March 28, 2003, at a Madill nursing facility.
He married Oma Orlean Cox on Feb. 10, 1928, in Atoka.
She preceded him in death on March 17, 1999.
He was also preceded in death by a son, Terry, and a daughter, Patricia Patton.

Hatter had lived in Madill for the past 25 years, moving there from Atoka. He worked for the WPA and was a dynamiter for the coal mines and pipelines in the area.

Survivors: five sons, Emmitt Clarence, Madill, Leon, Atoka, Melvin, Wapanucka, Raymond, Ardmore, and Larry, Healdton; a daughter, Louise Stephenson, Tishomingo;

Looking for information on my gr-grandmother, Elizabeth Hatter. She married Daniel Arnold in Highland Co., Ohio on August 09, 1849. I believe her to be a daughter of Peter Hatter and Elizabeth "Lizzy" Stultz. However, no actual documentation has confirmed this. Other than the 1850 census where Elizabeth & Daniel Arnold were living in Franklin Twp., Adams Co., Ohio, most other records show them in the Brush Creek area of Highland County, Ohio. The 1850 census also has a Jacob Stults/Stultz living with them. Would appreciate any information or help on this line. Thanks.

Parents were William Wesley Hatter and Maggie Mae Owens.

i have an excerpt from the Biographical Encyclopedia for Dauphin County (PA) (Date of Pub. Unknown) from Max Hatter's file. Prob. to him from Hazel Hatters Files. The bio I have is of George W. Hatter. born in Donaldson, Schuylkill county PA March 3, 1859. It gives his fathers and his grandfathers names also both as George and gives all of their children and spouses and childrens spouses etc...

Hi My grandfather was the grandson of James Lawrence Hatter. James Lawrence was one of the brothers of Sylvanus and signed an affidavit to that effect in James Lawrences' widows request for pension.

Any information you have and would like to share about Sylvanus or his parents William and Nancy Meeks Hatter or grandparents John Matthews and Mary Coleman Hatter or family farther back would be appreciated.

Mary is listed in some family trees as being the daughter of Richard Nathan and Paulines daughter from Casey Co. KY. I have Mary as being born 13 Mar 1827 (source is her tombstone which is located in Popular Hill Cemetery in Casey Co. KY). In the 1850 Census: Rich and Pauline ages are 30 and 29. Mary is listed in the 1850 Census living with William and Matilda Statham, John Statham and her age is 21 yrs. I don't think that Rich or Pauline had a child at 9 yrs. and 8 yrs old. Does anyone know the parents of Mary Hatter?

Update. The 1900 census for Richard N. Hatter looked like January, 1818 to me years ago, but the more I look at it, the more I think it is June, 1818 which would make him the brother to John Calhoun Hatter and Sylvanus V. Hatter and the son of William and Nancy Meeks.
