Hello,
My mother has an official document that lists the birth data of Franz's parents.
I could ask my father to scan a copy for you, if you would like. From Bev's posting, I would bet Franz was a brother to our Emanuel Hauptmann, who stayed in Bohemia.
I am also a descendant of Ignaz and Veronika, thru their son Emanuel Hauptmann, who was born 24 Feb 1821 in Wolfersdorf, Boehmishch Leiga. I would love to know more about your branch of the family.

Emanuel married Anna Thunhart, and they had at least three sons; Josef, August, and Emanuel. Josef was born in Strobnitz (and I think August was, too), Sudetenland, Germany and lived his whole life there. Emanuel left Strobnitz and lived in England.

I believe my relation Anna Albert Hauptmann was also a daughter of Francis and Elizabeth although it is not on the IGI. Her surname was Anderson when she married William Blaylock Noble 25th Dec 1896 in parish of Alva, Scotland. Witnesses at the wedding were F Hauptmann and Wilheimina Hauptmann. They had 2 children Annie Maxwell and William Hauptmann Noble. William's 2nd marriage was in 1905. Not sure what happened to Anna.

Vivian's sister Lorene passed away many years ago. I have been planning a trip to Edina, Mo. to visit Pearl Hauptmann for information about the Hauptmanns. I discovered some information going back to Frederick Hauptmann in an old bible, just a few months ago. I would love to hear from you and would enjoy seeing our shared family trees.

Mamie, I didn't know of any related Hauptmann's living in the Kirksville area...dad was the only son, his father James (my grandfather)was an only child. As far as Thomas, no I haven't found his website, all the Hauptmann's I have found sites for have been in German. Thomas hasn't contacted me through the myfamily.com site either, so I don't know if he's been doing much research on the web.

Buffey

Buffey, I spoke with your mother last week. Haven't had a chance to get back with her. I don't have much information and would like more. Do you know if any of John Hauptmann's family are living in your area. Two of the daughters lived in Kirksville Mo. One was married to an auto dealer. I can't recall the last name. The first names were Vivian and Lorraine. Also I have been told Thomas Hauptmann has a web site. Do you know about it?
