I am looking for information on Orville J. Hause & his wife Mary Elizabeth Robinson who married in the early 1870's in Georgia. I believe they had at least 8 children & most were born in Georgia. Some of the children were Mamy, Ossie, Bessie, Walter Leslie. The Hause family moved to Piedmont AL about 1890 - 1892. Orville died there in 1928; Mary died there in 1935. Both are buried in Highland Cemetery in Piedmont AL. I am particularly interested in connecting with descendants from this group.

Tammy. I know that was sloppying spelling. Parents of Esther were Ezra Stanford and his wife Ann Hopper.
I have one child listed, Esther Stanford, b. 22 Sep 1785 Warwick, N Y, died 16 Aug 1850.
Married first a William E. Hause on 7 Apr 1804, Orange Co., N Y, and second married a William D. Bacon before 8 Apr 1833. William E. Hause died in 1825. Does that answer your question. And do you have a copy of Erza's will? Also For Mary Jane, what was her date of birth, location, Location of the marriage and where did she die? Also, if you don't mind, what are the dates and locations for the children, like Birth, Location, date of death, and where and where buried? I have had nothing for them except for Roberts birth date. Thanks for any help. Doug.
E-Mail is doug2reno@peoplepc.com
Thanks again.

Chester Guy or Simon Hause

I am looking for info about Chester Hause my G-G-Grandpa. We think he came over from Germany before 1860. CD318 has a reference to a Chester Guy Hause in New York between 1860 and1869. For this to be him he would have had to have his family in Unity and Himself in New York for some reason because Simon was born in 1864 in Unity, Wisconsin If this is Simon's father he came over from Germany. I have not had a chance to look at this CD. Simon was born in Unity, WI in 1864 died 1944 He married Lillian Sheldon born 1871 died 1944. Have picture of gravestone. They had 5 boys, Chester Guy B. 5/29/1889 D. 1/14/1961, Vernon B. abt 1891, Billy Raymond B. 5/29/1895,William Phillip B. 7/16/1897 D. 10/15/1926, Howard B. 10/1901 Married Ione Seifelt. ANY info would be appreciated Jackie

LINCOLN COUNTY N.C. HAUSE/HASS/HAUS FAMILIES

Despertly need help on the Haus family of Lincoln County, N.C. I have a Henry Haus/Hass/Hause who married my Catherine Rinck, he actually probably married sisters both named Catherine. I believe they could have had a son John that is in the census with the Widow Hause in 1850. The problem is there were two Henry Haus/Hause/Hass and both married women named Catherine, One married Catherine Plonk and the other my Rinck sisters. I think that the Henry Hause I am looking for may be the son of Jacob Haus and mother Mary Polly Hudson. But I am not sure about this, I feel the two Henry's were probably first cousins and only a few years apart. The bad part both of them stayed in Lincoln Co. N.C. and raised families, I am unable to sort out who their children may have been. My Henry died before the 1850 census and probably born around 1790-1795 time frame I think. If you can help me with this line of Hause/Haus/Hass or what ever spelling you know them under please contact me. This is a Most confusing situation.
m.harbinson@worldnet.att.net
Thank you for any help

I think we are all the same family my Michael and your christian are born with in a year of each other, and the prusians or germans they had about 3 names this is our problem. they had saints name on the front or something. How do we find the documentaion for all this. Now the Christian who moved was probably close to the late 1700's and my William's father Jesse died young and he was apprenticed and didn't like it so he split and so did a lot of family for ohio, carrol co. Many stayed in PA because if you at the list my Uncle did off the census you will see lots of Johans and Wilhems and all that. So what do we do now? I hope your sisters snow storm is over Lenard, hi i am Kathy lol

Theonly thing that i have doucmentable is Michael married Anna Married Ohmet or Amer Seltenreicht Presbyterian Church, Lancaster PA. His sons names were John ( Johan) , Wilhelm, duaghters name were Charlotte , Margarete, Marie, Nancym, Hannah, Jullianne. Now some of these you find in german form and some under haas, some under hause some hawes some under haus its really weird i have been able to find lots of the descendents but many are refered to as Hause or hawes or even Hayes. I think they had a habit of naming everyone haas who tried to say hauzz or something different when they got off the boat and it seems this family hung onto the phonetic of their name because you find it going back to phonetics over and over. My uncle was positive there was a connection with the NY Hause family just because they had exactly the same first names for the children but could never prove it, In reality michael hause could have had another saints name infront of Michael and then a middle name after michael, they all could have. :)

Sarah Hause/Howse of Maryland

There was a Sarah Hause/Howse who married a George Wisman in Maryland. They were married 2-18-1796. This can be found in "Md. Mgs. 1778-1800 Barnes".

I am searching for the parents of my great grandmother who married John Moffitt c1824 in Beaver Cty.Pa. My grandmother Sarah Wisman was born 2-07-1801 in Maryland. She died 1-25-1884 in Meigs County, Ohio

On the 1880 census online it shows her living with her son Andrew J. Moffitt in Letart, Meigs County, Ohio. It shows Sarah being born in Maryland and BOTH her parents being born in Maryland. Sarah was age 79 on the 1880 census.

Then name Sarah was "carried" down through the family. The name Hause is also spelled Howse. She named a son George Wisman Moffitt who died in Caldwell, Mo. 1901 (Priscilla Smith)
I do NOT know for sure that this is my Sarah BUT it surely fits well. There is another Sarah who married a Fenwick. I believe that my greatgrandmother's mother was either Sarah Fenwick or Sarah Howse. I would appreciate hearing from someone who could list the children of either one of these Sarahs. Thank you so very much. Sincerely Ann
