You are correct. John Hartin Haviland, b. 24 Sept. 1837 in Rensselaer, New York, d. 30 June 196 in Janesville, Rock, Wisconsin, was the son of Nathan Haviland (b. 25 Jul 1814 Pittstown, Rensselaer, NY, d. 18 Oct. 1864 Vicksburg, Warren, Mississippi) and Susannah Hartin. Nathan was the s/o Roger 'Harten' Haviland (06 Jun 1794, d. Dec. 1878) and Patience Nichols. Roger 'Harten' Haviland was s/o Garrison Haviland Sr. (b. 10 Mar 1767, d. 09 Oct. 1820 West Hoosick, Rensselaer, NY) and Katherine Harten.
