As you know, I am researching John Goodwin Hawksley, my husband's 4th great-grandfather.
I believe that Margaret Elizabeth Hawksley who married Isaac Adams in 1833 in Prince William, York County, New Brunswick is his sister.
John was born in 1810, Margaret in 1816, both in Frederickton, NB.
I also found a Sarah Brown Hawksley, born abt 1814 in NB, and married in 1831 to a John Wellington Adams.
Right now, I have conjectured at a sibling relationship there; Sarah and John had two daughters:
Margaret Elizabeth, b. abt 1831, died 1912 in Ashland, Aroostook, Maine
Huldah, b. abt 1840, died 1915, probably also in Aroostook County.
Sarah apparently died before 1881, when her husband is found as a widower in the Canadian census. He was living in Prince William, NB at the time.
Any thoughts on this Sarah Brown Hawksley?
