I have a letter written by John Hawn in 1870. It places him in "Bell Air" Illinois. In the letter he talks about his wife and children by name. His wife is Sarah. The children he mentions are Walter, Julia, and Emily (Emmy). The letter was sent to my great grandfather, William Hawn in Knox County Tennessee. John and William's father was named Jacob. Does anyone know of any Hawns in Ill or Indiana? Belair is not too far from Terra Haute. Any info you might have would be greatly appreciated. You can email me directly if you want.
