It has been several years now that I am trying to pin down the origins of this particular person, and it's driving me bonkers!

*John Haycock, occ. blacksmith

in 1871 census 65 yrs old, born Oswestry, Shropshire; adddress #18 Sweetmans Str. Wolverhampton; children:
Frederick (14) George (8) Joseph (16) Sophia (22) all born in Wolverhampton; no mention of a wife.

I can't seem to trace him in the 1861 census, having only found a John Haycock, blacksmith, aged 41, born Weston, Sallop, with wife Martha (40) and children whose names do not match my information.
