Looking for Mat(h)ilda (nee Floyd) Hayhurst (born about 1823-4, Marion county WV) after 1877. Daughter of James H. Floyd and Jane (nee Thorn). Mathilda married Calvin Hayhurst, a cooper, in Aug. 1845 [Marion Co. marriage records A:10]. Lived on Little Ministers Run, Pawpaw Dist., Marion Co. With her husband, in 1877 sold her interest in her father's land [Marion Co. deeds 26:520]. Haven't been able to find where they went. Can't find in 1880 census. Their known children were Elizabeth who married Levi Morris and lived in Marion Co.; Melissa Jane born about 1847/48; James born about 1850. Would really like to know where Mathilda went to!
