Surnames: Haywood / Lane / Round
Hi All --
I recently found an old bible (1853)that had once belonged to William Haywood. On the inside is written,"The property of William Haywood Bought March 20, 1854." There is no other identification or writing. There are a few leaves and ferns pressed in the bible, a cross stitch piece that says, "Watch and Pray", two pictures from a magazine (perhaps?), and a small card. The small card has handwritten, "Matthew Lane" and "Wm. Round" The name Round is a guess - it's hard to read after the letter 'o.' The text of the card is a bible verse.
Although this is very vague information, perhaps it is enough to help 'find' its way home to family :-) I'd be happy to scan the handwritten information to those interested.
