I am researching the family history of my GG grandparents Peter and Mary (nee Curran)Hazard. Peter was born in County Down in 1824 to Peter and Mary (nee McMillan) and Mary in Belfast in 1825 to Hugh and Mary (nee Doran) . They were married in Belfast in April, 1849. At some time they travelled to USA and had two children (birthplace Illinois).Some information has shown that they lived/worked in "Mount Ross House" near Portaferry, N. Ireland. After they returned to Ireland they travelled to Austrlaia Peter arriving in 1854 and Mary and one son (daughter died on voyage) in 1855. They moved to the Orange/Millthrope area and had more children, Hugh, Thomas, Elizabeth, Kate, Teresa and James.
