Steve: I have an envelope in my possession and have no idea WHY. It's postmarked Sept. 17, 1094 from William Lawrence Estate, Bellefontaine, Ohio, and it's addressed to our gr-grandfather, Charles Butterfield of Overbrook, Kansas. There is nothing in the envelope. It was just in some Charles' papers. So, does the name Charles Butterfield mean anything to you. We have NO idea what it was about. Loretta

What branch of the Heavners did you descend, Jacob or Frederick. A cousin has published a two volume set of the family tree going back to Nicholas the emmigrate. He has since deceased, but,I have the address of his son who is selling them at $35 a volume. They are fairly accurate in their content for such an undertaking by one person. looking forward to hearing from the both of you. Have a good evening. Harold

Searching for family history

Hello, I am interested in finding out about my paternal family history. I am Kevin Heavner's daughter, and biological granddaughter of Edwin Dale Heavner. I do not have much information about the history of our family, because my biological grandfather, (Edwin Dale) passed away when my father was only 4 years old. I would like any additional information that could assist me in my search. I only know one more piece of info. Edwin Dale Heavner's parents were Audrey and Brooke Heavner. I am not even positive that Brooke his real first name. Thank you.
HEAVNER, Burke Co. NC from 1824

The Heavner family of Burke Co., NC, originated with the marriage of Jacob Havener and Christina Stamy [marriage bond 1 Feb 1824]. Jacob, apparently born bet. 1791 and 1805, then appears only in the 1840 census. No other records are known...don't exist or destroyed [many at end of Civil War]. Christina's ancestry and their 8 children are documented. Will be glad to share information. Any Jacobs unaccounted for out there?

Heavner

Greetings from Canada. Amongst my Grandfathers collections of pictures
(Old!!!pictures) is one of a Mr. Mrs. James Heavner and little Grace.
This picture was taken in 1888 in Washinton Territory. Mr. Heavner was
33 years old, Mrs. Heavner was 18 and Grace the baby was 4 months old.
Writing on the bottom of the picture would indicate that Mr. Heavners initials
were J.R. or J.K and Mrs. Heavner's were S.V. or E.V. The writing is very
fancy with many flourishes on the letters which makes accuracy a bit difficult.
I have no idea who this family is, but apparently they have some ties through marriage
to my Grandfather's family who were Dunn's.
If any of this information rings a bell, please contact me.
If you think you might recognize the picture, I will do my best to scan it
and send it to you via e-mail attachment.
Thanks.
