Christ Heber naturalized in 1904 wife may be Anna

this is not my family, but I have a naturalization paper to give to Christ's family. He was naturalized in 1904 in the state of Illinois. From the 1900 census, it looks like he was living in Cook County Illinois, with a wife Anna and children Clara and Johan. Chirst was born in Germany in 1864 and came to America in 1890. Is this your family? If so, please e-mail me at JanetFugateGumm@yahoo.com

Herman and Anna Heber

Herman and Anna Heber are noted in the 1880 US Census. Herman was born in Prussia, 1845, Anna was born in Germany, 1850. The only census that these two show up in, is the 1880 Census. I would appriciate any help in following up with this family into Germany. Thank you in advance. Will

Bunn/Heber

I am looking for a Heber who may have ancestors who married a Bunn. My Grandfather Bunn married A Sarah Elizabeth Faulkner. They were seperated when my father
was very little. I am a child born to him in his old age. He
was 63 when I was born to his second wife age 40. My grandmother was born in 1850's so I imagine my grqndfather
William Heber Bunn was also born around the same time.
Since his middle name was Heber, I am wondering if we
have some ancestors with the last name of Heber. Not sure
of the spelling. It is rumored that he is buried somewhere
in Fitzgerald, Georgia. He had a brother, but I do not know
his first name.

My family (heber) cames from Ohio. My grandfather was Otto John Heber(1899) and his mothers name was Anne or Anna. I don't know his fathers name. Otto had brothers, Alvin was one of the names I remember. My grandfather told me that his father died and his mother took them back to Germany for awhile and they lived with her father. Otto remembered being treated badly by his grandfather and they moved back to the states. They ended up in Michigan. Otto John married Bernice Mills and they had Malcolm Mills Heber and Paul (Alvin, maybe) Heber. The boys were born in Reed city Michigan.(1917). They moved then to Royal Oak Michigan. Both Otto and Bernice graduated from college and were school teachers. Does this help with your family?

Bishop Heber had only two daughters, Emily and Harriet, who assumed on their marriage the surnames 'Heber-Percy' and 'Thornton' respectively.

His elder brother Richard, the great book collector, died unmarried and without a child.

His younger brother, Thomas Cuthbert, died young at the age of thirty-one, apparently unmarried.

His younger sister, Mary, married Charles Cholmondeley and inherited most of Richard's property.

He had an uncle named Richard, who once succeeded the property of the Heber family but died without male heir, which brought the property in the hands of Bishop Heber's father, also named Reginald.

Probably, therefore, Ms Heber DeCicco has to trace the family tree to Thomas Heber (the early 18th century), the grandfather of the bishop or further back, unless daughters of the bishop's uncle (his cousins) had brought the name to Germany.

The Heber-Percy Mr Gale has mentioned must be Robert Vernon Heber-Percy, the third son of Algernon Hugh at Hodnet Hall, who is a grandson of the Algernon and Emily Heber-Percy in question.

Algernon Hugh's eldest son, Algernon George William, is the father of Mr Algernon Eustace Hugh Heber-Percy, the present owner (I believe) of Hodnet Hall.

My grandfather was Otto John Heber, my dad Malcolm Mills Heber and they both told me we were related to Reginald Heber who wrote the poem that was used for the lyrics for the hymn Holy Holy Holy. I read about the Heber-Percy family in a magazine featuring great homes and castles. I always wondered if our German side of the family was related to the English side also. I would also like to know the pronuncination of the name Heber Percy. I think it is Heb as in Deb while we pronounced our name Heeber.

RE Heber Percy family:

The latest footnote on the Heber Percy family, I suppose, comes from the recently published final diaries of Sir Cecil Beaton, edited by Hugo Vickers. On page 360, Beaton describes how "Mad Boy" Heber Percy physically attacked him at Sir Peter Quennel's 60th birthday party -- a long-delayed revenge for Beaton's publication of a diary that referred to Heber Percy.

Heber Percy had for 20 years been the lover of Lord Berners and inherited Berners' house and money in 1950. Beaton recorded that the Berners family had been dismayed not to inherit and that Berners' final years with Heber Percy "had not been happy ones".

"Critic and "O Calcutta" author Kenneth Tynan and his wife helped Beaton home that night. I have yet to cross-check whether Tynan's diaries (publ. last year) refer to the incident.

(Beaton died in 1980; Heber Percy died in 1986, having married in 1985 an old friend, Lady Dorothy Lygon, often thought to be the original for Lady Cordelia Flyte in E. Waugh's Brideshead Revisited.

Heber Percy's grand-daughter, Sofka (sp. ?) Zinoviev now leases out the house, Buscot Park)

O am a decendent of Charles Heber. He had children born in Fond du Lac Wisconsin. I am not sure of his wife, but it is possible her name was Anglia. There is a possibility that Charles may have been born in Canada.
Charles was father to the following:
John
Olga Bertha-Henrietta
Alvina
Willie
Ella Gertrude she was married to Leonard Franklin Chase.
Dora
Margaret Emma she was married to Alvin Joseph Hoffmann
Arthur

Hebers of Kalisz, Poland

I am looking for descendants of the Hebers of Kalisz, Poland. I know that my furthest back ancestor there was Naftali Heber, and his wife, Rochme. I'm descended from his son Idel Heber, and Idel's wife Keyla Gelb. I'm working on as complete a tree of the Hebers of Kalisz as possible, and would appreciate any help anyone can offer me in completing this task. Any Heber info in Kalisz would be appreciated.
