Katherine, Catherine or Kate Hecker

I am trying to find out information about my great-great-grandmother and her family. Her name was Katherine (perhaps spelled Catherine) and sometime referred to as Kate.

Apparently she was born on 24 Oct 1854 in Philadelphia and died on 24 Jan 1939. Her mother's first name was probably Ursula (1900 census). I do not know her father's name or her mother's maiden name.

Any leads would be great.

I can be reached at jgwagner4@yahoo.com

Thanks
Jack

Am trying to find descendants of Avrom & Anna Hecker. They had a daughter Sadie who married a Lobel - am in touch with most every descendant from that branch. However, she had a brother named Aaron who married Anna. They had Jack (who married Ethel) and Annie. I heard they also had another son whose wife's name was Rose.
DATA: Hecker, C. listed in 1929 Richmond, VA yearbook

DATA Message RE: The Marshallite, 1929 John Marshall High School yearbook (Richmond, VA).

This yearbook lists the members of the Senior class of 1929, faculty members, members of the Corps of Cadets, and many members of various clubs (not all). Unfortunately, it does not list the names of the members of the Junior, Sophomore or Freshmen classes (only officers listed for those classes). It includes the following name(s):

Hecker, C.

There's over 1,900 records, so I've only listed the name(s), as it appears in the yearbook in this message.

If you would like to view all of the information that I extracted from the yearbook, I have uploaded it to my freepages genealogy web site. The link to the first page of these extracts on my web site is:
http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~sassytazzy/family/r...

Or it can be accessed through the "General Research" link on the main page at:
http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~sassytazzy/index.ht...

Please note that my site contains free genealogy related data & IS NOT a "commercial" or "advertising" site. Until I can get back out & do research on my own families, my hobby is posting free genealogy related data online that may help other reseachers. I put all kinds of genealogy information on my web site (including information others send to me to share on the site), not just data about the families I am researching (therefore I can't answer questions about everyone I have listed on the site). I hope the information I've put online helps someone with their research . . .

Susan :)
Sassytazzy's Online Genealogy Research Library
http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~sassytazzy/index.ht...

My great grandmother, Marie Hecker Bishop, is the daughter of Jacob Hecker and Elizabeth Kehrer. She had several brothers and sisters and some of them came to the US with her in the 1920's. They came from Alzheim and settled in Milwaukee, WI. I am looking for info on this family. Some of her siblings that came to Milwaukee are

Louise Hecker (Lanzl)
Margaret Hecker (Gammel)
Katie Hecker (Liebel)

and more but that is all that I can remember.
Heckers: Bavaria, Ger. to Lancaster, PA

I am trying to trace my great-great grandfather to his origins in Bavaria, Germany. His name was Carl Hecker. I believe he had eleven children in all. My great grandfather, Ignatz Hecker, was his fifth child and was born in Bavaria on 25Sep1882. I have verified in baptismal records in St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Lancaster PA, USA, that the first of this family to be baptized at this church was (I believe to be) his ninth child, Anthony, born and baptized in Jan 1892. Here is the data on the family I have been able to come up with;
Husband, Carl Hecker; Wife, Frances (possibly Geisbauer); children; Frances, b. 3SEP1874, Grace, b. 6OCT1876, John, b. 1NOV1878, Charles, b. 27OCT1880, Ignatz, b. 25SEP1882, Louis (Alouitious?) 28SEP1884, Joseph, b. 15MAR1887, Mary, b. 15FEB1890, Anthony, b. 27JAN1892, Frank, b. 30DEC1894, Anna, b. 27AUG1896. From this information I believe that sometime between 1882 and 1892, this family and possibly some others, (uncles, etc.) came to America via New York's Ellis Island. (There is mention of a Carl Hecker and Family on the wall of honor, but this is not verified.)My goals are to verify where they entered America (Ellis Island), to find out what ship they came on and what port it left, Where in Bavaria they came from (city/town) and what Catholic parish they belonged to when they lived there. Also I would like to verify names of Carl's children and any decendants from them here in America. Please respond via the email address: billandterry@mindspring.com.

Thanks!!

Karl (Carl?) HECKER from Germany

I'm looking for descendants of Karl (possibly Carl)Hecker, son of Adolph Hecker believed to have moved to New York area from Germany a couple of generations ago. Here's what I know:

Karl had two siblings, Friedrich and Lotte (possibly short for Charlotte). I have a birth date for Friedrich of July 4, 1902 in Obrigsheim, Germany (this is the line I'm descended from), so I imagine Karl would have been born within a few years of that date and possibly in the same town.

Karl married a woman named Eleonore and had (to my knowledge) two daughters, Elizabeth and Margaret. Not sure whether the children were born before or after the move to New York, but the city they originally moved to a suburb of NYC called Mount Kisco.

I have seen a several New York Carl Heckers listed in the SSN death records and referenced here as well, but none are in Mount Kisco. I was hoping someone might give me enogh additional info that I will at least know which of these to pursue.

Thanks much!

Herman J. Hecker

I am currently trying to trace any information on my Grandfather Herman J Hecker. He supposedly entered the country in 1896/97 at an early age (5 or 6) to live with an Uncle Peter Hecker (my Great, Great Uncle) who resided in Wilmington Delaware at 2121 Jesup St. I do not know why he came to America, whether he was orphaned or not. He died of Tuberculosis in 1918 at the age of 27, so not much as far as family history was passed down to my father.
I do know that he was married to my Grandmother, Cora Gill, in Dec. of 1913 in Elkton Maryland and my Father, an only child, Theodore Herman Hecker was born in Coatesville PA on Oct. of 1914.
Anyone with any information that you think might fill in some of the gaps in this information please contact me.
