DNA Testing for Descendants of Philip Heckman of Armstrong County, PA

Recently completed Y-chromosome DNA testing has confirmed that the Philip Heckman who lived in Armstrong County, PA, and who married Maria Esther Otterman, was the son of Albrecht Heckman, the immigrant from Germany in 1753. Albrecht lived in Guildford Township, Franklin County, PA, and died there in 1804.
For many years some researchers in the Franklin County area claimed that Albrecht's son Philip was the same Philip Heckman who lived in the Newville area of Cumberland County, PA.
After many years of research, which always lead to a brick wall, DNA testing has cleared up this issue.
Althought DNA testing at present is somewhat expensive, it may prove to be your only source of proof to help break down those brick walls.
