Larry, Thank you so much for answering my post. My objective when posting was actually to find out if these two were somehow related to Horatio Gates or his wife Lavina (Merell or Merrill) Gates. The only thing I know about William Hecox is that he was married in the home of Horatio Gates my gr gr gr grandfather. I located Williams parents thru the LDS site. I wish I had more information to provide you with but I don't. If you have any information on how these two happened to get married in my gr gr gr grandparents home I would appreciate any information you might want to share.
