Thanks so much for your post, and for the intrigue of old family photos. I also possess a bunch of heirloom photos of Southwest Michigan relatives without any identifying notes. Perplexing.

My notes with sources and documentation are buried upstairs, my having two kids under age four and less time for nosing around the web and libraries. :) And truth be told, there's not much more than what I've posted in this thread. But I'm very interested in comparing notes.

The R(euben) H(yde) Walworth geneaology is cited often and there is a copy at the Rochester, N.Y. library, near my parents. I hope to make a trip in May and would be happy to photocopy any of it for you if it interests you. Let me know.

I show Warren Seward HECOX marrying Harriet M. JONES on 31 Dec 1867 in Bedford, MI. At least 8 children, including Florence A. HECOX. One reason this thread was so difficult to unravel was that my grandmother's typed notes on her family showed "Cox," not "HECOX." I'd love a copy of any of the HECOX photos if you're willing to share.

Florence married George Emery CLARK in Baltimore, MI in 1892. If memory serves, I can't find them in the 1900 census, and by 1910, George is enumerated with son Warren Seward CLARK, my great-grandfather. Great-grandpa CLARK sold Packards and later, Chryslers, in Battle Creek, and died in 1966, before I was born. He's buried with my great-grandmother Laura Hulda GREEN CLARK, who I knew as a boy before she died in 1979, in Bedford Cemetery, the one just north of Battle Creek.
