I am sorry, I just came across this message and see it was about 1 1/2 years ago. I was born a Hecox in Kalamazoo, Mich. in 1939. My father, (still alive) was Robert A Hecox of Greenville, Mich. He was born in 1914. All of my life wherever I have lived, I had never come across this name. I now live in Pennsylvania and found the name in New York State several years ago. Most in the Southeastern corner. There are still some there. My Grandfather's name was Floyd Hecox, but he deserted my Grandmother along with 3 boys, when my Father was just a child himself, so never net him and know nothing about him really.
