You're very welcome. My gr-grandfather, Owen Hehir b. ca 1828 was from Co. Clare, near Ennis, I think. His mother was Mary Moloney, from Ballycorey, Ennis, Co. Clare. He left Clare, probably as a result of the Famine, found a job on the railway and settled in Grannagh, Co. Kilkenny where he married in 1855. His son Daniel raised his family in Waterford, only about 3-4 miles from Grannagh, where my father was born, and my father immigrated to N.Y. so I am first generation American. I haven't been able to find Owen's father's name tho I think it might have been Daniel, and I don't know where his sister or brothers, Thomas, Michael
and possibly Patrick went. The Famine was terribly destructive; so many deaths and families scattered! Good luck in your search.
