Tim, Thanks for your reply and indeed we may be at least doubly related. In my prior message I noted that Anne Hehir was my Great-Great Grandmother. She was My Great- Grandmother and married Michael Casey probably in the 1860's as my Grandfather John Casey was the second born and he was born in 1867 at Gortmore. He had 5 brothers and three sisters, one a sister named Anne who married a Joseph Hehir, a farmer. This marriage yielded four children, two girls who became nuns, and two boys, one of which became a priest. The childrens names were Mary( St. Louis Sister), Anne (Holy Faith Sister), Father Tom Hehir, who was for many years Pastor of ST. Peter and Paul in Quin, and is buried in front of the church, and Joseph who married a Margaret Daly. The marriage of Joseph Hehir and Margaret Daly yielded Mary who became Mrs. Reaper living in Dublin, Anna who became a Sister of Mercy, and a son , Joseph. Possibly, some of this might be of interest. My Hehir cousins in the USA settled in Rochester, New York, Long Island, New York, and Meriden, Connecticut. During my visit to my ancestral home in 2003, I found many Casey cousins at the Gortmore farm, in Ennis, and departed ones in the churchyard at Ruan. I am aware that the Hehirs also lived in Gortmore. I was also in Corofin, during my visit and brought home a piece of pottery from Corofin. Thank you for your reply,Regards,(Jack)Casey
