Hello, have just joined the list. I have an ancestor Stephen Hehir (born abt 1795), transported in 1831 to NSW, I suspect because he may have been related to Matthew Hehir, tried as a "white boy" (I believe they were an agrarian socialist group), tried at the same time and on the same ship to NSW. They were tried at Ennis, so obviously came from that part of Co Clare. Would you have any further info on the "white boys", land clearances near Ennis, and this family in particular?
