In my g-uncle's Civil War pension file is an affadavit from James O'Hare, Sr., age 72 in 1895, of Silver Creek, Pa. (about a mile from New Phila.) in which he stated that he knew the claimant from birth, and that he had lived with him before and after the war. My g-uncle (James McArdle)was born in Co. Armagh. I don't know if they were related or not. Do you have any McArdles in your family tree?
