Audrey
In researching my Hehr ancestors I came across a Gottlieb Hehr in the St Louis, MO directories and census in the mid 1800's. Unless he has relatives named Anton or Gertrude I don't think he is an ancestor of mine, but he may be who you are looking for. If he is related to Anton or Gertrude let me know.

Thanks
Kathy

Hello Audrey!

You wrote something about an Gottlieb Hehr who is from Rohrdorf, Germany and emigrated to the US in 1853.

Well, I´m searching Christian Hehr, born 12.04.1820 who married 28.05.1848 a Christine Katharine Steimle, born 27.07.1826 in Liebelsberg (Black Forest, Germany). The couple emigrated to the US in 1853.

This Liebelsberg is nearby Rohrdorf. Perhaps, Christian and Gottlieb Hehr were relatives who emigrated together to the US!?!?

She then married James Houston in 1922 and had two more children, James (b1923) and David (b1924). She may have had another daughter called Grace. All dates are approximate.
