I'm searching for my birthmother. I have only found a few heiderhoffs nationwide. I am assuming that the surname was Americanized years ago. Here are the facts I have on my birth mother:
Heidi(Hedy)Theresa Heiderhoff (or huff)
Born 1913 in Lansing Michigan
Father's name: John
Mother's name: ?
Siblings: possibly a brother (have no
name; supposedly deceased in early
to mid 40's)
Known places of residence:
Flagstaff, AZ (1942)
Hattiesburg (Camp Shelby), MS (1942)
Alexandria, LA (1945)
Gulfport, MS (1945)
Chicago, IL ?? (1945)
Married to Angelo Michael Romano of
Kenosha, WI on 9/23/42 (He was at
Camp Shelby, MS for Army basic
training. They were married there.
They (or she) apparently moved to
Louisiana shortly thereafter.
I was born Kay Lynn Romano at Huey P. Long Charity Hospital in Pineville, LA on 7/24/45.
Any help you can give will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Gail Smith-Romano
