Heilmann/Heilman/Hileman Surname Reconstruction Project

Hi all,
I have initiated the first Heilmann/Hileman/Heilman (and spelling variants) Surname Reconstruction Project through FamilyTreeDNA.com . With a simple pain-free swab from inside the cheek, you can learn what family lines you belong to and which you do not. You can learn who you have a common ancestor with and when. Also learn about your unique family migration pattern and point of family origin.

I have always been extremely involved in trying to find my ancestor, Michael Hileman's father. It is allegedly Christian Hileman. I am optimistic that this project will answer this as well as connect my line to many of your lines.

I encourage you to check out the DNA testing information, all the benefits of this testing, as well as the Hileman Surname Reconstruction Project at http://www.FamilyTreeDNA.com . To go to the Hileman page just type in "Hileman" in the "Search by surname" at the top-right of the page.

The cost is surprisingly cheap for what you get.. $99 for the Y-DNA12" Test. Please participate. Your participation will not only reward you but help all current and future Hileman researchers. This is an exciting adventure and I do hope you will be travelling along with us. Please Contact me if you have any questions.

Hal Hileman

They had 7 kids, George, Mary, John Joseph, Elizabeth, Amelia, Peter Carl, and Joseph Peter. There are several name changes; Heilman, Hilman and Hillman. Albert might be from Baiern, Germany and Dorothea from Kurhessen Germany. I would be very thankful for any information.

HEILMANN FAMILY OF BALTIMORE MD

Am looking for info on family of Frederick Heilman. In 1890 Baltimore directory, Frederick, Jacob, Conrad, Conrad C and others are listed at Central Avenue address in Baltimore. They are tailors. My mom used to visit her grandpa Fred at the shop and watch him sew men's suits by hand on a long low table. Frederick was born in Germany and his wife also. He came to American abt 1840's or 50's. My grandpa Henry C. was born in Pittsburgh and so that is where this family is from before Baltimore. Can anyone help?

Jacob Heilmann>1798 Germany>?>Ohio

I am listing this here too. I would like information on Jacob's parents, siblings, where he came from in Germany, and where he first went to in America. He married a Pheby or Catherie in Germany. I would like information on her too. I don't know if she came to America with him or not. I know Jacob and his son John came to America around 1848. John was born 1831 in Germany. He was my great grandfather.
