Immigrated to America in 1852, probably from Bavaria. Was married to Sebastian Hebele(r) who immigrated at the same time. They might not yet have been married as the passenger list shows her maiden name.
Thanks for any info.

I would like acopy of the Heim family book. Can someone tell me if there is a Frederick Heim b.Aug. 1839 in Stuttgart, Wurttemburg, Germany married a Marie around 1865 and came to America in 1867. They ended up in Chicago, IL. There was also a son of Frederick named Frank or Franz who was born in 1879, Chgo. and a nephew or cousin named Otto born in early 1900's. I am at a loss on this family. My Frederick was my great grandfather. He died in Chicago. More than likely these families from Wurttemburg were all related and I happened to have a gr. gr. grandfather who didn't come over with the rest of the group. If you have any info, please email me at Sectimerdo@aol.com
Looking for Heim of Maryland - orginially from Bavaria

Hi, My name is Laura and I am looking for information regarding the Heim family of Baltimore, Maryland ---some family could be in PA but not sure. Here is what I do know regarding this line.
My great grandmother was Lillian Heim ---she married Charles T. Balla. Their daughter was Iona (dob 1908) --she married James Schmitt in 1933 and had my dad in 1942 (Charles).
Lillian's prents were Charles (dob 1842) & Katrinia (dob 1855 nee:Sultan/Soltan/Suldan) Heim. Charles' parents were Albert (dob 1818 in Bavaria ---came to US in 1844) and Eliza Heim (dob 1820 in Maryland).
The family mainly lived in South Baltimore. I do know that my great grandmother Lillian & her mother Katrina received letters from a family member in PA regarding the Civil War. One letter tells how this lady lost her husband and all her sons so she had to sell the family farm ----it is a very sad letter dated either 1863 or 64. Hard to read now because it is so faded. I also know that my great grandmother's furniture was mainly from Gettysburg ---it was passed down to my grandmother, wh than passed a few piece that were left to my father. My parents still have 1 or 2 pieces with the orginal paper labels. My grandmother would tell me some family stories when I was little regarding when she was a child & the Heim family. It is a shame that I only recall alittle ---how I wish I had written all the history down but when you are a kid you just don't think about it. Plus I always heard about all my other families to ---so much to remember.
Well I hope someone can fill me in ---sorry about the long story. Thanks, Laura

I have a original "Schiff's Contract" dated 25 September, 1852 for German family emigrating to America. It's hard to read the handwriting but I think it is for Christian Heym and wife Sofie Schumann and 5 children Constantin, Adolf, Therese, Maria and Louife. It was for arrival in New Orleans.
Also there is a Western Union telegraph from Chas. R. Lockyear showing family tree for William Henry Lockyear and Theresa Emiely Constanca Heime married on Jan 6, 1859 and 9 Lockyear children born between April 4, 1860 and Jan 28, 1879.
This document was purchased at auction in Southern Indiana and I would like to sell.
Chad McGee
cmcgee@sigecom.net
I found, on a "CNIDR Isearch-cgi 1.20.06 (file 281) from Rootsweb a query signed "Bonz" This person mentioned Max Heim and Elizabeth Krempel. They also said they had a book from the Christ Episcopal church of Allegheny Pa. with records from 1831 to 1863. I would like to contact this person to see if they would look up the family of Thomas McNabb for me. This is a rare find for me and one i will probably not find again so, please, if you know of this writer would you either let me know or ask them to contact me at:
jeb30@caddoelectricl
MANY THANKS!
Jean

Hessian soldier of the AmRev - HEIM

I have checked the over 200 postings on the HEIM Board for
Hessian or Ansbach soldiers of the American Revolution, but
there is no mentioning anywhere. This morning I had an enquiry from a Heim descendant telling me of an old Family tradition that their first Heim in America was a Hessian soldier, and while checking this out, I sure found two names,
one a Johann HEIM who deserted from the Ansbach troops
in May of 1783, and one GEORG HEIM, who deserted from
the Hessian troops in New York in August 1783, just before
his Regiment left for home. I had no time yet to go through all
my military files, but those two alone establish the fact that
there were Hessian soldiers settling in the U.S.A. after the
Revolutionary War. To learn more about it, keep an eye on the
AMREV-HESSIANS-L@rootsweb.com mail list archives,
which is easy found on http://www.rootsweb.com homepage
top bar Mailing Lists, undefr the grouping 'Others' - Military.
Hope that helps you in your family research.
Heim, Jacob II Jacob I

My husband has several great granfathers with the name of Jacob Heim. Jacob I was born in 1736 in Wurtenburg, Germany. Wife's name was Juliana. Jacob II was born in 1773 in Germany, and married Christina Gohl. Jacob III was bron 1806 in Germany and married Regina Staiger. Jacob III and Regina had a son name John J Heim born in 1839 in PA. John J married Rosina Heim. Rosina was the daughter of Christian Heim II and Rosina Wagner. Chirstian II was the son of Christian Heim I and Elizabeth Gunter. Christian I was the son of Jacob Heim I and Juliana. So Rosina and John Heim had the same great grandfather. The Heim family moved from Wurtenburg Germany to Blooming Grove, PA about 1817. Then from PA to southeast NE in the 1880's. There is a group known as the Pennsylvania Dutch in southeaster Nebraska and they have a reunion every year. That is the branch of the family that my husband belongs to. Any info on the family in Germany would be appreciated.
