Harry is on the 1930 Electoral Roll at 62 Selwyn Street, Glenmore, Paddington, (Traveller) and on the 1936 Electoral Roll at 30 Park Road, Glenmore, Paddington, (Motor Mechanic). Both are under Henrich. There is nobody else with him by that surname. I would check the death in 1971 - parents' names on death certs can be unreliable, depending on who was giving the information (and especially as his parents used so many different names!). That Harry was aged 79 when he died so fits with yours. There was a death notice in the SMH which you can request a look up for at http://ryersonindex.net/search.php It may confirm or discount this death as being your Harry.

Debra

We may be researching the same family. I am looking for Alma Heinrich. Middle name is either Ida or Inez. Born 04 Aug 1904.
Her death certificate says her father's name was Henry and mother was Rika Dilburner. She spoke of Frank and Walter. I remember one was brother. The other might have been nephew. Alma was my husband's mother. We visited in the summer of 1964 near Bemidji with the brother or nephew and his wife and daughters. Then we went to St. Paul for a wedding of her nieces child. Are we looking for the same family?
lamblin.lady@hotmail.com

Christine,

I have HEINRICH musicians in my family tree! The only one who was rumoured to go to the USA was Carl, who may have played a trumpet. This Carl was b 19th Oct 1853 Writz, and may have married an Anna. Carl was my grandfather's oldest brother.

Grandpa = Otto Friedrich HEINRICH b 1st June 1859, Pretzch, Sachsen Anhalt. He was a violin player/maker/dealer. After travelling all over, including going to Long Beach, NY, he ended up marrying a girl from Dorset, England - where I am - and they settled in Bath, Somerset, where they lived for the rest of their lives.

Grandpa had siblings - Herman, Robert, Helene, Martha, Lena, Paul and possibly others. They were quite well off, and their house in Leipzigerstrasse is still there!

Grandpa's line goes back:

Friedrich HEINRICH b 14 Feb 1825 Pretzch, son of
Johann Carl, b 16 Dec 1797 Pretzch, son of
Johann C, b 4 Dec 1754 Torgau

and back to Gottfried b c 1690 Pretzch.

Is it possible Carl may have ended up in Utica, or at least passed through it? Could you posssibly send any info my way - if it ties up with what I've written here?

The only violin I have now is one my father made. He was taught by his father Otto Friedrich.

I keep seeing your information and wonder if my Heinrich family is related to yours. My Heinrich family is from the Waupaca County area (New London). John Heinrich (b. Dec 1844) was supposedly born in New York, but I can't seem to find him. I've tried all the usual tricks of name variation, birthplace and year variation, but to no avail.

The reason I'm asking is there is a coincidence I have with your John Heinrich born 1847. My John Heinrich had a son named John Louis Heinrich and you have a Louis John Heinrich. Please contact me to see if there's any way there could be a connection.

Wendy in Wisconsin

Robert,
Let me pull an overview together for you. I have some odds and ends about Otto in Chicago (a little work by me, more work done by a distant cousin) and have been trying to get back into researching Chicago Heinrichs after a few years down time. My interest comes from Otto's mother, Josepha, who was sister to my great grandfather, Frank Heinrich. Luckily, my grandmother, before she died, provided me with some critical clues to related Chicago-based Heinrichs, so I'd be interested to see if Carol has any info to supplement.

John Heinrich

Damian was a "joiner."

Damian married Justina Gaertner on August 8, 1892 in Allegheny City, PA (Justina would have been my great aunt.)
HEINRICH, Glenda A.

The Green Bay Press Gazette, Green Bay, WI, May 29, 2007

Glenda A. Heinrich, Suamico, 70, passed away Sunday afternoon, May 27, 2007, at a local hospital. Glenda was born June 25, 1936, in Green Bay to the late Clayton and Valeria (Ahlbum) Rentmeester. Glenda was a graduate of the 1954 class of Green Bay East High School. Glenda and Harlan met in Eagle River in 1958. Harlan had his first sales territory with Benjamin Moore Paint Co. and Glenda had occasional job assignments working at the courthouse in Eagle River. Those years laid the groundwork for many happy and adventurous years. Harlan and Glenda were married in Green Bay on June 25, 1960, and resided in Eagle River. In October of 1960, Harlan was transferred to South Bend, Ind., where their daughter, Cindy, was born. In 1966, another territory change for Harlan saw the family move to Fargo, N.D., where their son, Scott, was born. In 1977, the family moved to Winfield, Ill., and in 1981 saw still another move, this time to Fort Wayne, Ind. In 1992, Harlan retired and fulfilling one of Glenda's dreams to be with family, Glenda, Harlan and son, Scott, moved to Suamico.

Every move left good and lasting friendships behind for Glenda, but presented new opportunities to build more relationships and more friends. Glenda was good at this, she had a lot of love to give and only wanted the same in return and that she got and this was the fuel that kept her going.Glenda will be missed by her family and her many friends that she made in all of the stops that she made on her journey. She won the battle, The Victory has been Won and the Gold Medal is hers.

Glenda is survived by her husband of 47 years, Harlan; her daughter, Cindy and (Michael) Albin, Willmar, Minn., and grandson, David; son, Scott and his wife, Susan (Maas), Suamico; other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, Glenda was preceded in death by one sister, Valerie Kabacinski.

Friends may call after 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 29, 2007, (TODAY) at Lyndahl Funeral Home, where a Service of Remembrance will take place at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Scott Malme officiating. Online condolences may be expressed at www.lyndahl .com.

The family would like to thank the staff at Rennes Rehabilitation Center, the doctors and especially the fourth floor medical teams at Bellin Hospital. Your hugs, your tears and your love and care for Glenda will never be forgotten. Thank You!

Special thanks to Pastors Toenges and Malme, and Vicar Adam Parvey from Pilgrim Lutheran Church for their many visits, prayers, and comforting words during these difficult days.

Please make donations in Glenda's memory to Pilgrim Lutheran Church, "Journey Fund".
looking for info on mambers of this family. Got their names from their son's death record. FOund them on a ships manifest in 1892. I have not been able to find any other record on them. They came from Prussia. Their intended destination was Illinois.

The ships manifest showed family members as:
Erdman (age 38, b abt 1854)
Rosalia (age 35, b abt 1857)
Emil, 11
Herman 9
Matilda 7
Robert 5
Rudolph 4
Albert 1 1/2
August (no age given)

The only family member I have been able to find info on is Robert, who ended up in California. Erdman is my children's great great grandfather. Robert's son recalls that his grandmother died when he was very young, he estimated about 1936. I would appreciate any help to find records of this family.
Hello Donna,
Let's see if this helps. Katherine Foerster and Christ Heinrich married and had five children. The boys were Gustav, August and Wilhelm. Of the two daughters, Emma Heinrich married Elert Gust(Goetche) and Amanda married Ernst Bestman(Bessman). Your great-great grandmother Katherine had a sister named Anna who happened to be the brother of my great-grandfather. Anna Foerster Harder died in 1924 and I believe your great-great grandparents died before 1924. Am I correct? Out of curiosity, where are your ancestors buried? Sincerely, Casey

Hi Donna,
It's a small world. Adolph and Gertrude Rickert were very good friends of my parents. They went to the same church as our family. When my parents had a "cookout", the Rickerts were always invited.
I hope you are familar with Resthaven Cemetery in Bensenville. That's where all the Heinrichs are buried that I know of. It is very near to the cemetery that they want to raze for the expansion of O'hare Airport. I'm willing to wager that it's a church cemetery and if you find the right church, you will find loads of information on the Heinrichs.
Casey
Woodridge, IL

Robert,
The Otto Heinrich you are pursuing died 03 Dec 1912 in Chicago. You'll find him in the 1900 (5147 Justine) and 1910 (2037 W. North Ave) census. Otto was born (illegitmately) to Josepha Heinrich in Unterwilflingen, Wuerttemberg, Germany (Film #0867296 FHC). He likely immigrated to the US in 07 Jun 1886 (check out the immigration collection of ancestry.com) with an older cousin, Joseph Heinrich (born in nearby Zipplingen). His first marriage (in the U.S.) was to Anna Scherbach, who died shortly after giving birth to Otto, Jr. The family history is a bit complicated, but very interesting.
John H.

There was an obituary on 29th Feb 2002 for a Carl E. HEINRICH, 85, in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, but I can't get hold of it. Are you certain it's Carl W. you need?

While I'm at it, were there any musicians in your HEINRICH family? Or - people with any kind of dystonia?

My grandfather's older brother, Carl HEINRICH, b 19th Oct 1853, Writz, Saxony, emigrated to the US some time - but don't know when! He was supposed to play a golden trumpet. My grandfather, Otto Friedrich, b 1st June 1859, Kemberg, Saxony, played violin for a living, and ended up in Bath in England.

This Carl had quite a round face, according to the one photocopy of a photo that I have of him.

HTH,

Viv
England

*Please email me off-board if you're interested, because I rarely look at these boards.

religious flier: Whitsett, Heinrich, Liebelt, Lashier, Keymer

I have a two sided flier with photos of 4 preachers. This was from an event in Topeka, Kansas. My guess is from the 30's or 40's but it's only a guess. One side reads UNPARDONABLE SIN! WHAT IS IT? WHO HAS IT? It says there will be 2 meetings on Sunday November 11th. It features a large photo of Robert Whitsett and at the bottom says "WHITSETT BIBLE LECTURES WOMAN'S CLUB AUDITORIUM Ninth and Topeka Boulevard. Another box at the bottom says INSPIRING MUSIC Robed Choir, Soloist, Charles Keymer, Gospelaires Male Quartet, Mrs. Lashier's Illustrated Songs.
The other side of the flier features pictures of Oscar Heinrich, B.J. Liebelt, and G.K. Lashier. Some of the bold type on this side reads "ATTEND EVERY LECTURE" "3 ANGELS PREACHING OVER KANSAS" HEAR THREE PREACHERS HEINRICH, LASHIER, AND LIEBELT"
I would be happy to send this to a family member of any of these men.
Also, the perpetual calendar shows that a Sunday, Nov. 11 occurred in the years 1923, 1934, 1945, and 1956.
I also did a google search for the names of the men listed and found 2 hits. Both show men that were 7th day adventists, so I think it's a reasonably safe bet that they are 2 of the men mentioned in the flier:
Sept. 18, 2002: Atlanta Journal Constitution
Oscar Heinrich, 86, church mission voice "Oscar Heinrich was the voice of his church's worldwide mission program. For years he lent his bass-baritone and diction to reports about the work of Seventh-day Adventist missionaries around the globe. "This is Mission Spotlight," he would intone at the end of every report. His passports were well-worn. He did his reporting on the scene, visiting more than 160 countries."

and
HISTORY OF KANSAS CITY
CENTRAL CHURCH

Following is a list of the pastors through the years:
1950-1951
Charles Keymer

Hope this is helpful to someone!
email me at opalzone@aol.com

DATA: Heinrich, A. C. listed in 1929 Richmond, VA yearbook

DATA Message RE: The Marshallite, 1929 John Marshall High School yearbook (Richmond, VA).

This yearbook lists the members of the Senior class of 1929, faculty members, members of the Corps of Cadets, and many members of various clubs (not all). Unfortunately, it does not list the names of the members of the Junior, Sophomore or Freshmen classes (only officers listed for those classes). It includes the following name(s):

Heinrich, A. C.

There's over 1,900 records, so I've only listed the name(s), as it appears in the yearbook in this message.

If you would like to view all of the information that I extracted from the yearbook, I have uploaded it to my freepages genealogy web site. The link to the first page of these extracts on my web site is:
http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~sassytazzy/family/r...

Or it can be accessed through the "General Research" link on the main page at:
http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~sassytazzy/index.ht...

Please note that my site contains free genealogy related data & IS NOT a "commercial" or "advertising" site. Until I can get back out & do research on my own families, my hobby is posting free genealogy related data online that may help other reseachers. I put all kinds of genealogy information on my web site (including information others send to me to share on the site), not just data about the families I am researching (therefore I can't answer questions about everyone I have listed on the site). I hope the information I've put online helps someone with their research . . .

Susan :)
Sassytazzy's Online Genealogy Research Library
http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~sassytazzy/index.ht...

Searching for family of Dora Heinrich

I'm trying to locate any children of Dora Heinrich. Dora was married to Otto Heinrich and Otto was Phillip Heinrich's brother. Phillip Heinrich was my grandfather.
Otto and Dora were at my wedding some 36 years ago and Otto took film of my wedding on his 8mm camera.
I have never seen this film of my wedding. I believe Dora's children may have this film. If anyone has any information about this film, please contact me. I would very much enjoy seeing it. Thank you

Searching for family of Dora Heinrich

I am trying to locate any children of Dora Heinrich. Dora was married to Otto Heinrich. Otto Heinrich was Phillip Heinrich's brother. Phillip Heinrich was my grandfather. Otto and Dora attended my wedding and Otto took film of my wedding with his 8mm camera. I have never been fortunate enough to see this film. Otto and Dora Heinrich have both passed away. I never had the opportunity to meet any of Dora's children. But I am hoping that maybe one of Dora's children might have the film Otto took at my wedding. That film would now be 36 years old. If anyone might have any information on this film, please contact me. I would certainly appreciate seeing it after so many years. Thank you.
